Function of Department |
The Register of Deeds Office is responsible for recording all transactions relating to real estate in Norton County. These documents include deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, easements, and plat additions to all cities in the county, surveys and water rights. Our office also files financing statement on personal property under the uniform commercial code, federal and state tax liens, mechanics liens on personal property, corporation papers, powers of attorneys and military discharge records. The Register of Deeds office also maintains county school records and cemetery records. |
